New Job and Utah!

So I'm now living out in Southern Utah, working with a therapeutic wilderness program for troubled teens. The program is called RedCliff Ascent. In my off shifts, I hang out in Saint George, which is about 40 minutes west of Zion National Park and shares the epic scenery and warm weather. Saint George is also home to more climbing than I have ever seen in my life. While it lacks the central hangout for nomadic climbers that you can find in Red River Gorge or Hueco Tanks, the area boast about 250 climbing routes within a 15 minute drive from downtown. My field/work area is located about two hours north though, up at 6500'. The elevation means the red rocks are replaced by sprawling juniper and pinyon pine forest and that we got six inches of before the end of October.
The people seem great. The work will definitely be interesting. And the area will be a lot of fun.
